Key responsibilities:

• Installation:

Installing electrical wiring, control systems, and electronic components according to specifications and blueprints.

• Maintenance:

Performing routine inspections and maintenance on electrical and electronic systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.

• Troubleshooting:

Diagnosing electrical and electronic malfunctions by using testing equipment, analyzing symptoms, and identifying faulty components.

• Repair:

Repairing or replacing damaged electrical and electronic components, including wiring, circuit boards, and power supplies.

• Calibration:

Calibrating electrical and electronic instruments to ensure accuracy.

• Testing:

Performing functional tests on repaired systems to verify proper operation.

• Documentation:

Maintaining detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and component replacements.

• Technical support:

Providing technical assistance to other technicians or operators regarding electrical and electronic systems.

Required skills:

• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical theory, electronic circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Reading blueprints: Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hand tools proficiency: Skillful use of hand tools like multimeters, wire strippers, soldering irons, and other specialized testing equipment.
• Problem-solving: Analytical skills to diagnose complex electrical and electronic issues.
• Attention to detail: Ability to carefully follow procedures and identify minor discrepancies.

Education and training:

• High school diploma with vocational training in electronics or electrical systems
• Associate degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology
• At least 5 years in similar position at comparable company/location.
• Applicant will be subjected to a written and oral examination.

Salary Range: $40-45/hr.
