Airway Health & Safety Coordinator,

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports and guides the implementation of safety policies and procedures to be followed by Airway LLC personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal occupational safety, health, environmental, and security requirements.
- Provide safety oversight of Airway operations including Aircraft Ground Handling, Cabin Appearance, Building Maintenance, Janitorial and PRM Operations.
- Advise leadership on trends and provide solution-based recommendations to maintain a safe operational environment.
- Inspection of Airway facilities and operations to detect existing or potential hazards and environmental issues and recommend corrective and/or preventative actions.
- Participates in and supports the investigation of accidents, injuries and environmental incidents and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence to identify root causes for the purpose of developing corrective and preventative actions.
- Supports safety initiatives and procedural requirements to ensure that the workforce behaviors are compliant with company expectations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Shift / Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Qualifications and Professional Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in safety management or equivalent combination of certifications and experience
- Five (5) years plus experience in the occupational health and safety field, with responsibility implementing and managing health and safety programs.
- At least two years of occupational health and safety experience in an Aviation environment highly desirable
- Ability to complete OSHA certification course within the first 6 months of employment.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and similar programs
- Good working knowledge of local and federal regulatory requirements for aviation ground handling and/or construction
- Possess/maintain a valid state driver’s license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
- Experience working with a diverse group.
